Littletug as a WeTransfer alternative
Both services move large files through a link, and the recipient needs no account.
What matters when choosing
Large files rarely fit in an email, which gives up at around 20 MB. Messengers shrink photos and videos.
Receiving files raises different questions from sending them. Whose name does the page show? Where are the files stored, and for how long? Is there a data processing agreement?
For firms, practices and workshops there is one more: the client should need no instructions. An address with your company’s name is one they recognise at once.

What WeTransfer does
WeTransfer is a service for sending large files. You upload files, and the recipient gets a link and downloads them. On Ultimate the page carries your branding, the link the WeTransfer name. Receiving files works through file requests. There are also previews with comments and an app for the Mac.
What Littletug does
Littletug is an upload page on your own domain, for example upload.company.tld. Your clients upload files there with no account and no app. Sending works too, by download link on the same address. The files are stored on servers in Germany and stay until you delete them.
How the two differ
WeTransfer is made for sending. Even with branding, the address stays a WeTransfer subdomain. Littletug is about receiving, and your clients see your address, your logo and your colours. Anyone who doesn’t know such services recognises your company straight away.
Who Littletug is for
